The exceptional relaunch of Vinitaly

Verona once again hosted an impressive group of wine professionals for the sector’ most important trade fair – Vinitaly – which transforms this world wine-capital over the course of four days.

The eagerly-awaited 54th edition of the annual Vinitaly concluded after four days packed with meetings plus its “prequel” Opera Wine, a prestigious event where the American magazine “Wine Spectator” showcases its most-awarded producers. This year’s participants included outstanding brands such as Lvnae, Pio Cesare, San Leonardo, Siepi, Ornellaia, Ricasoli, Tenuta di Trinoro, and Tasca d’Almerita.

This edition of Vinitaly saw a range of new developments and workshops, among them the master class “Iconic Women in Italian Wine,” conducted by Monica Larner of “Wine Advocate” and Alison Napjus of “Wine Spectator”, as well as a number of events organised by Donne del Vino. Vinitaly is back, and with a record number of attendees. 88,000 visitors attended, including 25,000 wine-buyers from 139 countries across the globe – a level, according to Veronafiere, that was never before reached.

A great success for a relaunched Vinitaly. We were honoured to have taken part each day, telling the stories of 25 producers of ours! 😊
