The city of Florence is reviving the traditional event F-Light, the Firenze Light Festival, whose 2020 title, “Sight: dalla selva oscura alla luce” (from the dark wood into the light), is a tribute to Dante.
Several are the light installations, from the projections onto Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, the Museo del Novecento, to the Three Artist Trees placed around the city, involving once more the three internationally renowned artists Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mimmo Paladino and Domenico Bianchi, who have tried their hand at developing a universal symbol of Christmas by creating actual site-specific works.
F-Light Sight dresses the corners of our city with new light, thanks to video-mapping, projections, lightshows and artistic installations. One of the most important events of its kind in Italy, it has become a point of reference in Europe. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Florence and organized by MUS.E, with the artistic direction of Sergio Risaliti.
